The Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) mandates licensing for handling controlled refrigerant gases, which pose enviromental risks if mishandled. These gases are in all air conditioning systems.

Some of the old gases (R22) found in many older but running air con unit not only poses a global warming risk but also has potential to damage the ozone layer.

Greener Race (AU48602) employs and trains fully qualified refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics, holding the full unrestriced license. Our qualifications permit us to repair, service, maintain and install all types of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

It's important to note that a restricted license only authorizes swapouts and installations for a limited range of air conditioning types, it also expressly excludes repair and service work.

Engaging a restricted license holder for any repairs may void your Air Con manufacturers included 5 year warranty.

This includes a restrictred license holder returning to repair a system that they have installed.

Great experience with the Greener Race crew who installed a split system in my house last week. Very efficient and left the place clean and tidy. They'll be returning in a couple of weeks to install another unit in a more challenging spot and I'm sure will approach this with the same professionalism.
